Betty’s Workout at the Gym–NO RECIPE–
In this video, Betty demonstrates her workout at the gym (due to several requests). I also emphasize the importance of diet in achieving fitness and a healthy lifetstyle. If you are looking for a diet that will definitely take the pounds off and never leave you hungry, I recommend the following. It is a starter diet, and it doesn’t allow a lot of calories. (You may choose to go a little slower, and if you have *any* health issues, you should see your doctor before making any drastic change to your diet.) When you reach your goal weight, you will be able to add in other foods and maintain a happy, healthy, fit lifestyle. Notes: 1. You have to be committed to considering this as a lifestyle, not a “diet.” When your weight is where you want it, you can add small portions of “treat” food, but the overall outline is for life. 2. Weigh yourself everyday at the same time wearing the same amount of clothing. If you have overeaten the day before, it will show up. 3. If there is a food group that you don’t particularly like, eat it anyway, and consider it as “medicine” for a healthy and slim life. 4. Before you begin, prepare a ziplock bag with fresh carrot strips and celery sticks (or other favorite munchable vegetables). If you are ever hungry during the day, eat as much of this as necessary, until you are no longer hungry. 5. I designed this lifestyle “diet” for myself, and it keeps me at my desired weight, allowing me occasional “treat” food. I weigh 112 pounds. If you weigh …
totally agree with the other youtube comments, i assumed you were a 35-40 year old woman…you either have really good genes(passed down from your mom or grandmother) or you are the kind of person who’s always taken good care of their skin from an early age. so envious…i can only dream of looking like you when i turn 60.
wow..u really are an inspiration being older than myself but so fit and healthy. i own a pair of 5 pound dumbbells and i can hardly work out with that after a few minutes..that’s how unhealthy and unfit i am..but i feel inspired by you and a few other ppl to change my ways .
Jesus, i thought you were 35 or 38 or something….
I cannot believe that you are 61! You look gorgeous and so full of energy, You are an inspiration and a role model to me. Thank you so much for your wonderful videos
i hate cooking because of my bitch teacher
but u seem nice
wow it’s so weird to see you outside of the kitchen… another great vid betty!
@seventripleseven I refrigerate or freeze the leftovers. It works out about right, because I try to list about 2 main courses, 2 side dishes, a dessert, a salad, and an activity each week. That isn’t enough food for the number of meals we have in a week! I do end up with a lot of frozen desserts, though. It is recommended that 1 baby aspirin (for kids, generally) is good for the heart, because aspirin thins the blood, but you don’t want it thinned too much.

wow you don’t eat a lot…. where does the food you make in your videos go?!
why do you take a ‘baby’ asprin by the way? is that just asprin for kids? (I’m in the UK)
Love the vid, I also exercise 3 days a week, Mon, Wed, and Fridays. Im already at my desired weight also, but I feel so much better since I became active. Thx for the extra tips, some of them I did not know. you’re very fitness-smart
this is EXTREMELY low cal….
@usafireandrescue Thanks, Amy! I will be taking a short break from YT soon, so I want to leave you with a special good-bye! I will think of you!

@JoeHell67 The classes I attend at the university last 1 hour and 15 minutes. If I am working out at home, I have a step-with-weights video routine that is 70 minutes long. I’m sure that’s way below your daily training!
–Betty
Hello,
Betty, you’re fit, you’re definitely fit!
how long is one of your training sessions?
Joe from Germany
@bettyskitchen
I disagree. You should adjust your caloric intake according to level of your activity, not your weight.
Wow Betty! What a great workout! You are an inspiration!!!!! Much love to you and your family….
Very informative video Betty.Thanks.( respectfully meant ) You look wonderful!
@bettyskitchen “Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels!”–Isn’t it the mantra of people with anorexia…? Let’s say, “as good as being *slim* feels”?

@umkoki Wight control is one thing and your humanity is another.

@8Priscilla Hi, Priscilla! I have done it both ways. Lately, when I go on vacation, I take a vacation from working out (and from eating super healthy). I’m not saying that’s the best thing to do, but, for me it works out well. When it comes to workouts and diets, it is *not* what you do in 1 or 2 weeks that makes or breaks anything; it’s what you do with the other 50 or 51 weeks of the year! That’s the real key to fitness and healthy living!
–Betty
Betty, when you go on vacation do you work out at the hotel, or do you play catch up when you get back home? Just wondering if not working out every other day when on vacation will throw off your/ones routine. Thanks

betty, i m sooooooooooooooooooo impressed with you.. that i sent ur video link to a lot of my freinds.. thank u so much for the good recipes and healthy lifestyle tips…
Some lose weight easily, some don’t.Some are blessed with some skinny genes and many of us aren’t.
Betty, this is excellent. I appreciate how honest and straightforward you are. Often times people will lie to your face saying they eat everything and just “happen” to be thin. That’s rarely the case in my experience! I appreciate that you show us a healthy yet disciplined approach. You are a great role model. I’ve learned some great tips from you. THANK YOU
